Bromley Site of Interest for Nature Conservation series
 
Lower Broom Wood is a small, narrow wooded path in the middle of Bromley's farming area. Providing a valuable point of access and shade under large, old trees Broom wood refers to the old coppicing practices that saw the trees being regularly cut back as a crop for various domestic appliances and fuel.
